ABOUT US & UTransit

UTransit has been created and managed by Amanda Fernandes and Máté Sebők. Amanda is from Brasil and Máté is from Hungary, but we are currently living in Taipei, Taiwan. We are both studying transportation engineering at the National Taiwan University with Professor Jason S.K. Chang, who is one of the most important professor and researcher in the area of transit, green transportation and active mobility. Amanda and Máté also share the similar interest in green transportation and sustainable urban development. Amanda is more focusing on green freight and cargo transport (including cargo bikes), while Máté's main interest is urban public transportation, cycling and active mobility.

This website and blog was created in order to share our ideas, photos and videos related to the above mentioned topics. We primary focus on public transportation, green mobility, cycling, green cargo as well as green urban development. We include both local examples from Taipei and Taiwan as well as global issues from all around the world. We hope, that through our posts we can generate more discussion on green transportation and  bring more attention to the ongoing issues which will definitely influence our life in the future.
